Learn More About Your Local SAR Team

Oliver-Osoyoos Search and Rescue is hosting an open house Saturday September 29th. The event will run from 10am-3pm at the team’s new compound on Cessna Drive in Oliver. The compound is to the immediate north of the Air Cadet Hanger. This open house is to create awareness of the local team.

OOSAR will have vehicle and equipment displays, kids tents (Adventuresmart), live demonstrations, BBQ, silent auction items, 50/50 draw, recruitment and information booths set up through the day.

Oliver-Osoyoos Search and Rescue is 100% volunteer organization providing initial response to an area as far south as the US border, north to Vaseux Lake, west to Kobau Mountain and Orofino Mountain, and east to Conkle Lake and the Highway 3 turn off to Mount Baldy. We also provide mutual aid assistance to teams throughout the province. OOSAR can be called out by local fire departments, BC Ambulance, RCMP, BC Coroner service or Local and Regional Governments during times of civil emergencies.
